Local Eatery Draws Ire Of Police Brutality Protestors

bizjournals.com

An estimated 50 police brutality protesters held a sit-in at the Northstar Cafe in the Short North on Sunday morning.

The cafe has attracted criticism for offering cops and other first-responders a 50 percent discount. The discount was removed June 3 but reinstated two days later. Protestors say they want a permanent dismissal of the police discount, a tip jar for employees and company-wide anti-racism training.
