Crop Duster Crashes In Fairfield County

MGN Online

The Ohio Highway Patrol says the pilot of small plane that crashed in a Fairfield County cornfield Saturday night remains hospitalized in Columbus with non-life-threatening injuries.

Troopers say 89-year-old pilot Allen Dupler of Millersport took off in the 1968 Cessna 105J crop duster from a private runway and struck some electrical wires, causing the craft to catch fire.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
