Child Vaccinations Down So Far This Year

State officials say there are now over 46 thousand cases of COVID-19 in Ohio, with nearly 74 hundred hospitalizations and 2,735 deaths.

Columbus Children’s Hospital officials report a 40 percent statwide decline in child vaccinations since March. It's not clear why. But officials say vaccines are critical to prevent disease and outbreaks. They advise local health departments to work with schools to find children who need to catch up with classes resuming soon. Officials made their comments during Governor Mike DeWine's COVID-19 press briefing on Tuesday.
