Inmates At Two Prisons Found Dead In Their Cells

dys.ohio.gov

Officials at the Circleville Juvenile Correctional Facility say a 17-year-old inmate died Monday.

A nurse and emergency medical personnel tried unsuccessfully to revive him after he was found unresponsive in his cell. The Ohio Department of Youth Services says there's no evidence the teen tried to take his own life or was harmed. His name has not been released.

Meanwhile, officials at the troubled Cuyahoga County Jail are investigating Sunday's death of an inmate. Officials say 28-year-old Devauntae Daye was booked on May 17th. The cause of death is unknown. The U.S. Marshals' service has called jail conditions inhumane.
