Columbus police say an Ohio State University student was killed in an early Sunday morning shooting near campus.
The victim is identified as 23-year-old Chase Meola of New Jersey. Police reports indicated some people were asked to leave a house party in the area and an altercation occurred outside. Police have charged 18-year-old Kintie Mitchell Junior with murder. It's the city's 127th homicide this year.
