Appeals Court Panel Acquits London Man In Fatal Arson Case

Madison County Sheriff's Office

A federal appeals court panel has acquitted the London man accused of killing his wife and two children in an arson at their home in 2008.

60-year-old Peter Romans faced aggravated murder, murder and aggravated arson charges in the deaths of his wife, their 12-year-old son and 16-year-old daughter. His attorneys said the fire was spakred by a faulty part on his SUV parked next to the home.
