Authorities say bones found inside a New London home in 2016 likely belong to a school teacher who died in 1881. The Porchlight Project worked with police to send the bones to a lab for DNA testing. Matched through with an online database, authorities say they belong to 18-year-old Hallie Armstrong, who was believed to be buried in a lone grave at Sugar Grove Cemetery in Wilmington. 72 bones were found inside a garage in a home on Main Street.
