A U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and explosives agent has filed a federal excessive use of force lawsuit against the City of Columbus and two police officers. James Burk alleges two officers tased and handcuffed him while he attempted to confiscate an illegally-held firearm in July. Burk claims responding officers pointed their guns at him and assaulted him before checking his credentials. The city has yet to comment.
