Ohio Governor Mike DeWine is backtracking on his Monday order about the use of protective masks by retail customers, saying instead that they're a strong recommendation.
Retail workers will still be required to wear masks. The governor has created two advisory panels that will help set the dates for barber shops, salons and dine-in restaurants to reopen. DeWine also says the state is not yet ready to begin re-opening childcare facilities. DeWine says the risk of children unknowingly carrying the Coronavirus home to an at-risk adult is still too high. Daycares are currently serving the children of first responders and health care workers. Columbus Mayor Andy Ginther says he is meeting with Columbus Public Schools to discuss serving parents who need childcare to return to work.
