IG: Former Kasich Administration Official Improperly Steered State Contracts To His Firm

The Ohio Inspector General says an information technology executive with ties to then-Governor John Kasich's administration worked to improperly steer as much as 9 million dollars in state contracts to his private company.

The IG's office says Rex Plouck worked with the Department of Administrative Services' deputy director to land state business for Advocate Solutions LLC, where he was CEO. Plouck was a one-time contractor with the administrative services agency and the Governor's Office of Health Transformation. His wife, Tracy, was in Kasich's Cabinet and a Health Transformation stakeholder.
