State health officials said  Sunday Ohio has more than 26 thousand confirmed cases of COVID-19 with nearly 49 hundred hospitalizations and 1472 deaths.

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine says state officials will do whatever is necessary  to enforce social distancing and other protective measures if bars and restaurants fail to restrain crowds as the state eases coronavirus measures. On CNN Sunday, DeWine responded to images posted online of a packed Short North restaurant and bar that appeared to not be practicing social distancing Friday night.

Columbus Public Health sent two warning letters to the bar, Standard Hall, and issued six other warnings to operators after conducting more than 100 compliance checks over the weekend. And the Park Street Cantina has been cited by the Ohio Investigative Unit for a lack of social distancing. The Ohio Restaurant Association believes reports of establishments not operating in accord with the governor's guidelines are "isolated incidents."
