Tuesday's School Money Issue Passage Rate Lower Than Last Year

The Ohio School Boards Association says voters Tuesday approved a smaller percentage of school tax issues on the primary ballot than in the previous primary election.

Voters approved 64 percent of school-related tax issues, down from 78 percent in the 2019 primary. Support for renewals remained steady with 43 of the 46 issues passing.  But 38 percent of new tax requests were approved, down from 60 percent last year.
