State health officials Monday reported 895 new cases of COVID-19 and ten new deaths.
The state now has 123,157 cases and 4,138 deaths. Governor Mike DeWine in part blames recent case increases on the reopening of some school districts for in-person instruction.
Meanwhile, the Worthington Board of Education is expected to vote tonight on a hybrid learning model. This after 50 parents rallied on Monday to reopen schools for in-person instruction. The district opened Monday under a remote-learning plan. The model up for a vote would offer hybrid learning starting September 14th. Some teachers are raising questions about the district's preparedness.
