CDP Reassigns Cop Involved In Stormy Daniels' Arrest

Columbus police officials have reassigned one of the vice squad detectives who arrested porn star Stormy Daniels at a local strip club earlier this year.

Steve Rosser has been placed on desk duty. A reason has not been given. Daniels' attorney says the officers who arrested her were politically motivated, and cite several pro-Trump social media postings by them. The local police union has denied the arrest was politically motivated.Chief Kim Jacobs suspended the unit's operations in early September to conduct an internal review following the arrest of Daniels and the fatal officer-involved shooting of a woman during a reported prostitution sting. The FBI is now leading a joint investigation into the vice unit. Rosser is also among a group of officers who have been sued in federal court over the Daniels arrest.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
