The Ohio Department of Health says levels of E.Coli bacteria at two Buckeye lake beaches are unsafe. Swimming advisories have been issued for the beaches at one of the state's largest inland lakes . Those beaches remain open despite tests in early July showing E. coli levels more than 40 times higher than the federal safety threshold for swimming. Department spokesperson Mary Clifton says officials would rather let visitors decide for themselves whether to use the lake than close it. Clifton says sewage overflows, faulty home septic systems and animal feces contribute to the problems.
