Former CCS Official Sentenced For Changing Student Grades

Columbus City Schools

A Franklin County judge has sentenced a former Columbus City Schools assistant principal to two years probation. 63-year-old Stanley Pyle must also write a report on school reforms. Pyle's conduct was discovered during the state's probe of the district's attendance data-rigging scandal. Pyle pleaded guilty in November to changing 650 grades at Marion-Franklin High School from Fs to Ds in one school year.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
