The celebration of the folk artist whose work focused on her childhood neighborhood in Columbus will continue next month. A tribute to the life of Aminah Brenda Lynn Robinson will take place at the Columbus Museum of Art on July 18. It will include a special program with music from jazz musician Arnett Howard. Robinson was a MacArthur Foundation fellow whose work has been shown in galleries and museums around the world. She is also known for her work on the African-American community of her Near East Side neighborhood and Poindexter Village. An exhibit of her works will run through Sept. 6 in the museum's forum gallery.
