Former Deputy State Treasurer Extradited To Serve Prison Term

Dayton Daily News

Federal prosecutors say former deputy state treasurer Amer Ahmad has been extradited from Pakistan to serve a 15-year prison sentence for a kickback scheme. Ahmad is due to appear in court on Friday. He pleaded guilty in 2013 and fled to Pakistan to avoid punishment. He was arrested by Pakistan authorities last year and was sentenced in abstentia December 1. He remained in custody in Pakistan, pending extradition.
