Republican Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O'Brien will have a Democratic challenger for the first time in 16 years. O'Brien will run for re-election against Democratic Columbus City Council member Zach Klein next November. Klein won re-election last November. Republicans are criticizing Klein for a lack of experience and for abandoning his City Hall seat. Klein is a former assistant Ohio Attorney General, a former special assistant U.S. attorney and an attorney in private practice. Green Party candidate Bob Fitrakis also filed to run.
