A University of Toledo astronomer is getting credit for a major breakthrough.Noel Richardson published a study this week that explains a new technique that shows the evolution of stars that are 75-hundred light years away from Earth.  Richardson's team combined four telescopes in Chile to model the physics behind orbiting stars in hope of understanding how stars lose mass over time.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
