Judge Says Overmyer Violated Terms Of Bond

A judge says suspended Sandusky County Sheriff Kyle Overmyer, who is running for reelection despite being charged with stealing medications from prescription drug disposal drop boxes, violated the terms of his bond. The judge upheld the prosecution's claim that he had contact with potential witnesses.  The judge raised Overmyer's bond to 250 thousand dollars and ordered him jailed until that bond is posted. Overmyer has said the allegations made by police chiefs in the county are politically motivated.
