Ohio Lieutenant Governor Mary Taylor backed President-Elect Trump's pick for chair of the state Republican party over the sitting chair, who was supported by Governor John Kasich. Taylor shifted her allegiance to Jane Timken days before Matt Borges was ousted last Friday. Taylor's name had appeared on a list of endorsements for Borges that he circulated ahead of Friday's vote. Taylor is considering a run for governor in 2018.
