COTA Holding More Public Forums This Week On Planned Service Changes

Mike Foley

The Central Ohio Transit Authority launches a redesigned bus network next month. Spokesperson Lisa Myers says the overhaul enhances and increases service.

Myers say signs about the changes have been placed at every bus stop. In most cases, customers will use new routes with new numbers starting May 1st. Fares will remain the same. COTA has two more public information sessions for any residents needing help with the changes. There's one at noon and another at 6pm on Tuesday at the Lhota Building on North High Street.

As part of the transition, Myers says COTA will also offer free fares from May 1st through May 7th. She says the overhaul has been in the planning since 2013 and paid for with local sales tax revenue.
