A Hamilton County judge has postponed jury selection and withdrawn for now her media gag order in the murder retrial of a white former University of Cincinnati police officer who fatally shot an unarmed black motorist in 2015. A state appeals court last Friday blocked the gag order following a legal challenge by news organizations, including the Associated Press. Ray Tensing claims he feared for his life when Samuel DuBose tried to drive away during a traffic stop. Attorney Al Gerhardstein represents the DuBose family.
The judge will hold a hearing on Thursday to discuss what reporters will and will not be allowed to do.
