For the second straight weekend, the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission has issued an Air Quality Alert for Delaware, Fairfield, Franklin, Knox, Madison and Licking counties. The commission says sunshine and high temperatures will combine to create levels of ozone pollution that are hazardous for sensitive groups, which include active children, the elderly and people with breathing difficulties. The alert issued for Saturday has been extended to run through Sunday. Sensitive groups should limit outdoor activities to the morning hours.
