Congressional Committee Proposes Restoring Funding For Great Lakes Cleanup Program
A U.S. House appropriations subcommittee proposes overruling President Trump's call to eliminate the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative, a program that funds cleanup efforts. The president's federal budget proposal for 2018 recommends killing the program and others that support regional environmental cleanups.
