The man who shot and killed a Columbus SWAT officer during a standoff last year has been sentenced to life in prison without parole. 45-year-old Lincoln Rutledge was sentenced for the April 2016 death of Steven Smith. Prosecutors say Rutledge shot Smith as officers tried to serve an arson warrant at a home.
