Teachers Ratify Columbus Schools' Contract Offer
Teachers in the Columbus City Schools last night approved a new two-year contract with the district. Columbus Education Association members also voted no confidence in the school board, saying the deal doesn't go far enough in addressing concerns about salaries and working conditions. The deal includes annual raises of 1.5 percent this year and 1 percent next year, below the current rate of inflation. The board will vote on the deal next week.
