Franklin County Engineer Proposes Vehicle Fee Hike To Fund Infrastructure Upgrades

Franklin County residents may have to pay more to register their vehicles, with the additional revenue to be used to pay for bridge and road maintenance.

The county engineer is calling for a five-dollar increase in vehicle registration fees that would generate more than 5.5 million dollars annually. The proposal must be approved by county commissioners.
