Board Declines Third Parole For Local Man

State of Ohio

The Ohio Parole Board this week denied parole for a Columbus man twice paroled for shooting at a Columbus police officer and for armed robberies of a local gas station and restaurant in 1986.

The board says 32-year-old George Walker violated the terms of his previous paroles, and letting him out again would pose a public safety risk.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
