Powell Voters Will See Income Tax Hike On November Ballot

Powell City Council members voted Tuesday to place the city's first income tax increase in 27 years on the November ballot.

If approved, the rate would increase by half a percentage point to 1.15 percent. City officials say the additional 2 million dollars in annual revenue would be used to repair and maintain roads, sewers and bike paths.
