Franklin County residents will have to pay more to register their vehicles, with the additional revenue to be used to pay for bridge and road maintenance.
County Commissioners on Tuesday approved the county engineer's proposal for a five-dollar increase in vehicle registration fees that would generate more than 5.5 million dollars annually. The engineer cites decreased state funding and rising materials costs.
