A Columbus police officer facing child pornography charges formally submitted his letter of resignation yesterday.
But Sergeant Dean Worthington will likely keep his pension. Under Ohio Law, a worker can lose their pension for theft in office and other crimes not including child porn. Worthington's trial is expected to start today on charges of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material or performance, and pandering sexually-oriented matter involving a minor.
