Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan is planning to run for U.S. House minority leader.
The Urbana Republican made the announcement after winng his seventh term in office on Tuesday. He had said he wanted to run for House Speaker, but Tuesday's elections gave control of the chamber to Democrats. Jordan, who has been caught up in a sexual misconduct scandal at Ohio State University, says he wants the job because Republican leaders have not yet fulfilled promises to repeal the Affordable Care Act, secure the borders and reform welfare.
