Kroger Reaches Deal With Central Ohio Workers' Union
Cincinnati-based Kroger says it has reached a new contract agreement with the union representing 13 thousand central Ohio workers.
In a news release, the grocery store chain says the deal with the United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 1059 increases starting wages to 10 dollars an hour, and 11 dollars an hour after one year on the job. The deal also raises pay for third shift workers. A union spokesperson is quoted in the news release saying the deal also provides affordable health care.
