Youngstown State University's trustees and school president Jim Tressel have agreed on a one-year contract extension through June 2020.
Tressel was named YSU's ninth president in 2014 and signed a three-year contract through the end of June 2017. Tressel and the board later agreed to a contract allowing some renewal options. In 2016, the contract was extended through June 2019. The deal does not include a pay raise, which means the former OSU football coach will continue to earn 300 thousand dollars annually.
