Central Ohioans have the chance to dispose of unwanted prescription drugs this weekend.
The annual National Drug Take-Back Day is scheduled Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at dozens of locations in the region. The event is designed to help prevent and reduce the number of drug addictions, overdoses and deaths. Last year's event collected nearly 1 million pounds of unused or expired medications, the largest amount since the program began in 2010.
