A new wrongful death lawsuit filed against Mount Carmel Health System and Doctor William Husel involves a previously unidentified patient.
Husel is accused of giving excessive doses of medication to at least 35 people between 2014 and 2018. He was indicted last week on 25 counts of murder. This lawsuit names two other physicians, a nurse and a pharmacist alleging the death of Drake Mills was hastened by a fatal dose of fentanyl. More than two dozen wrongful death lawsuits have been filed since January. Mills was hospitalized in June of last year after a cardiac incident. The suit also alleges improper medical treatment. The hospital says Mills was not one of the people affected by Husel’s actions.
