Columbus-based Mount Carmel Health System has settled two more lawsuits filed by the families of women who died after a physician ordered excessive amounts of painkillers.
Five of the 28 wrongful-death suits filed have been settled since mid-January, when Mount Carmel announced the firing of Doctor William Husel. Settlements were reached in the September 2014 death of Sherry White and the October 2017 death of Peggy Francies. Terms were not disclosed.
