Counties Mailing Last Minute Notices To Thousands Of Ohio Voters

County boards of election have mailed last-chance notices to more than 235 thousand people who could be purged from state voter rolls.

Ohioans may respond to those notices by September 6 or go to voteohio.gov to update their information. Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose directed boards in June to submit a list of inactive voters and send notices that their registration could be canceled. LaRose says he will provide the list to community groups and individuals who want to encourage them to re-register.
