The Ohio Supreme Court has declined to hear an appeal in a lawsuit by the family of a slain Ohio State University student.
The family of Reagan Tokes claims the state failed to properly supervise Brian Golsby, the man later convicted of killing her. The Ohio Court of Claims earlier dismisssed the lawsuit, ruling the state was immune. The suit claims Ohio's Adult Parole Authority and its contractors should have known Golsby was a danger. He was released from prison two months before the slaying and was wearing an electronic monitor at the time. He's now serving a life sentence.
