Newark Man Gets Four Year Sentence In Death Of Foster Child

A Newark man has been sentenced to four years in prison in the death of his foster child.  

30-year old Kenneth Schulz pled guilty last month in the June 2018 death of 5-year old Nathaniel Gard.  Schulz was arrested after Gard was hospitalized with multiple injuries including severe head trauma.  Schulz told police he had been teaching the boy wrestling moves.  

A native of Chicago, naturalized citizen of Cincinnati and resident of Columbus, Alison attended Earlham College and the Ohio State University. She has equal passion for Midwest history, hockey and Slavic poetry.
