Columbus Mayor Andy Ginther delivered his 5th State of the City address last night at West High School.
He said he plans to address racism and discrimination with his Equity Agenda, which includes exploring the impacts of racism on health equality and issuing recommendations by the end of the year. He also pledged to spend up to 50 million dollars in bond money to create 5 thousand affordable housing units by 2025. Protesters were at the speech reading names of black citizens killed by white Columbus police officers. They say Ginther has failed to address the issue.
