New Statewide COVID-19 Orders Expected To Be Announced Today

State health officials Monday reported 7,268 new cases of COVID-19 and 20 new deaths.

The state now has 305,364 cases and 5,742 deaths.

Governor Mike DeWine says he wants Ohio to slow down to avoid closing down:

DeWine Monday said he will make an announcement today as COVID-19 cases continue to rise. The governor has threatened to close restaurants, bars and gyms, or possibly enact a curfew, if coronavirus cases continue to rise:

DeWine made his comments in Huntington, West Virginia. Meanwhile, two dozen people held a demonstration outside DeWine's house in Cedarville Monday over an order against dancing and playing games at bars and wedding receptions due to COVID-19.  A COVID-19 order signed Monday by Ohio's interim health director applies to events like weddings and funerals. Wedding and funeral guests will be required to remain seated, and family parties can not exceed ten people seated together. The new order that takes effect today does not apply to religious services.
