The Ohio Medical Board has declined to publicly comment on the former Mount Carmel West physician accused of ordering excessive doses of fentanyl for 27 patients without their families' knowledge.
The Ohio attorney general is uring the board to suspend William Husel's license. A spokesperson says the board can't disclose confidential investigative information. No charges against Husel have been announced. His attorneys have declined comment on the allegation's and the AG's move. Mount Carmel says it's investigating whether affected patients were near death or might still have had opportunity to improve with treatment. Twenty pharmacists and nurses were put on leave pending investigation.
