Adult Writers’ Studio is a welcoming and creative community of writers 18+ who gather to share and discuss their writing, participate in generative exercises, provide/receive feedback about each other’s work, engage in topical discussions, and support each other through peer motivation and kind, constructive criticism. Best way to have fun while making new friends. Whether you've never done improv before or you're a seasoned veteran, come on out and play some games with us at Gresso's!

The idea behind improv is to create entire comedy scenes from scratch, similar to Whose Line Is It Anyway. In addition to being a lot of fun, it also offers lessons in everything from communication to thinking on your feet.

The meetup will be either on the second floor or Gresso's or in the basement (we'll post an update shortly before the start of each meetup). Stay afterward for a drink and/or some food with people!

About the Artist:
The slightly dark, incredibly quick, observational style of Mary Santora's comedy is one that is uniquely her own. Drawing from real life experiences, Mary takes the audience on a storytelling driven ride, while seamlessly weaving in and out of crowd interactions, leaving a lasting impression on anyone who sees her. Originally from Cleveland, OH, Mary has relocated her midwest charm to New York City, and is a regular performer at all of the major clubs including The Comedy Cellar, The Stand Comedy Club, New York Comedy Club, Westside Comedy Club and more. Ticket Policy:The Funny Bone has a full bar and a dinner menu that is available in our cafe and through your server when you are seated in the showroom!
Seating is done based on the date and time you purchased tickets, so we encourage you to purchase early.
Most of our tables seat 4 people. You may be seated with a separate party of guests at the same table.
If you wish to sit with another party, please contact our box office prior to showtime.
All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges. Sales tax and service fees are included in the ticket price.
