OU, OSU Students Protest Ferguson Grand Jury Decision

Protests and prayer vigils were held in Ohio yesterday following the announcement that a grand jury in Ferguson, Missouri decided not to indict a white police officer in the fatal shooting of an African-American man. 100 Ohio University students and 100 Ohio State University students held separate protests last night after learning officer Darren Wilson would not be indicted in the death of 18-year-old Michael Brown. The Ohio Student Association will stage a protest outside the Beavercreek Police Department this afternoon. That group held similar demonstrations after a white Beavercreek officer shot and killed a black man in August at a store, where he was allegedly brandishing an air rifle.
