Columbus Public Utilities officials say water tests detected three different algae toxins at the Dublin Road water treatment plant. Officials say the levels are safe for human consumption. The Ohio EPA says toxins were detected during sampling of raw water in late August. The city estimates it could spend nearly 2 million dollars this year for algae treatment chemicals at the Dublin Road and Hap Cremean plants.
