A Franklin County jury has convicted three people who confronted police after blocking the path of the Columbus Pride Parade last summer of disorderly conduct.
Sentencing is scheduled March 7 for 28-year-old Wriply Bennet, 27-year-old Ashley Braxton, and 26-year-old Kendall Denton. Braxton and Denton were acquitted of resisting arrest. Their attorneys argued the trio was peacefully demonstrating and the altercation was caused by overly aggressive bicycle officers who deployed pepper spray.
