Another Undocumented Immigrant Takes Sanctuary In Columbus Church
A Columbus resident has become the second woman to seek sancturary from federal immigration agents in a local church.
The woman's supporters made the announcement on Monday. Miriam Vargas is an undocumented immigrant from Honduras. She has received an order of deportation, and is concerned the Trump administration will separate her from her two young daughters. She has taken sanctuary at First English Lutheran Church. She joins Edith Espinal, who has been in sanctuary at the Columbus Mennonite Church.
